The Paddl Games Metro Scratch Space Challenge is being held tomorrow, 6th of September 2017 as part of Victoria’s Digital Innovation Festival, in partnership with Metro Trains Melbourne.

The Paddl Games event will see 60 students and graduates from diverse backgrounds, qualifications and experience work in competing teams, alongside Metro Trains staff, to develop innovative ideas and solutions impacting metropolitan rail users in just under five hours.

Utilising the latest technology such as IoT sensors and devices, Virtual Reality, drones as well as big data, competing teams will pitch their ideas and solutions to a panel of judges consisting of Metro Trains executives and industry experts.

We have been delighted to a diverse group of students (45% female and 55% male) from leading educational institutions including:

RMIT
Deakin University
Swinburne University of Technology
The University of Melbourne
Holmesglen Institute
Monash University
Victoria University
La Trobe University
University of Sydney
Orange International College

This is a truly exciting event and we are thrilled with the outstanding calibre of the applicants. Congratulations to all of the students who were selected, it was an extremely competitive process!

We will be sharing live updates throughout the day through the @paddljobs Twitter account and will post an updated blog tomorrow wrapping up the day. Stay tuned!
