62 students pitch at the ABC Innovation Challenge
On Friday, December 1st 2017, 62 students and graduates from universities and TAFEs in New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory competed in the Paddl Games ABC Scratch Space Challenge, a career experience project for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
This half day event surfaced digital ideas and solutions to solve a real commercial challenge for the ABC: to drive its future growth through digital technologies.
62 participants from 13 educators including 11 universities, one TAFE and one college (NSW, VIC, ACT)
Participant qualifications includce Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and PhDs
10 ideas developed and pitched in under five hours
Concepts presented included short form content, social sharing, apps, a festival, live streaming, crowd sourced content

Concept: How do I adult?
Provide millennials entertaining and easily digestible short-form video and audio content aimed at helping them navigate through adulthood: how to buy your first car, how to apply for your first rental, how to lodge your tax return.
